For broken dreams, the cure is, dream again...And deeper CS Lewis
If you have a chance check out Lianna Klassen's new CD The Guest. Lianna is an award winning Canadian Christian Celtic/world influenced artist from Montreal. Tracks from the CD are beautiful. I love the attention payed to the hymns and their potential in worship. Also check out www.theworshiproom.com and their stuff on MySpace. More beautiful worship music. I'm becoming increasingly drawn to meditations and chants that have an ancient/future context. Lianna's "Out of the Borderland" is also and great CD and really resonates with me. A few years back I did a series of teachings on my old radio/talk show called "Stories from the Borderland." These lands often have that liminal character to them so often found in times of change. Celtic worship has that sense of PLACE between PLACES.
In the name of Father,
In name of Son,
In name of Spirit,
Three in One:
Father cherish me,
Son cherish me,
Spirit cherish me,
Three all-kindly.
God make me holy,
Christ make me holy,
Spirit make me holy,
Three all-holy.
Three aid my hope,
Three aid my love,
Three aid mine eye,
And my knee from stumbling,
My knee from stumbling.
